James Cole.
Haunting sounds in the night.

Prowling the dark September streets of Edinburgh, I heard the ethereal notes of James Cole's trumpet echoing off the underpass of King’s Stables Road.

With his evocative Take Off playing in my mind, I set out to find the images that tell one of the timeless stories that lives in his composition.

The result is this Trumpet Place—Take Off video.

These images from the piece are available for purchase here.

The Take Off video was selected for a juried exhibition curated by Paula Tognarelli at Davis Orten Gallery, Hudson, NY, and a still image from the video was selected for a juried show at the Griffin Museum of Photography, Winchester, MA, curated by Richard McCabe, Curator of Photography at the Ogden Museum, New Orleans.
